General Manager
Phillip Ashworth has been General Manager of Amerro Engineering since the company’s inception. Under his management Amerro has gained a reputation for quality, integrity and reliability, which are the pillars on which the company stands.
Phillip started his career in Marine Engineering (Heavy) where he successfully completed both Fitting/Machining and Boilermaking apprenticeship. After completing both apprenticeships Phillip spent another 15 years in the industry where he successfully managed many engineering projects; projects such as design and installation of propulsion systems, design and construction of new vessels and the project management of many vessel refits and re-builds.
Phillip often talks about his experience in the marine industry, he reflects on the personalities he met and the diversity of projects that these people presented. The ability to tackle new projects and present solutions first time round is a passion of Phillip’s. Phillip has taken the experience and diversity of the marine industry and has adapted the same principals to his work at Amerro. He likes a challenge and is always appreciative of new opportunities.
